Hummus for (Holi)days

It’s that time of the year when you might need some Holiday party ideas and I happen to have one.
I used to eat hummus all the time. I generally made it, because I am not a huge fan of tahini inside. Not to say I won’t eat it, because I damn sure will but I don’t know, I like the taste of the raw garlic, olive oil, salt, and chickpeas on their own. I go to this place downtown sometimes called #tavernaopa where you can dance on tables and stuff- no it’s not a strip club. It’s a huge Greek touristy place that brings you basically just those four ingredients in a mortar and pestle and you just mash it all together. Needless to say it’s #delicious and these are too. So change it up for the #holidays and serve these. You will not hate me, I guarantee🌱
Basic hummus recipe:
1 can chickpeas
Salt to taste
1-2 garlic cloves (I use more in plain)
Olive oil to emulsify
Jalapeño Hummus- add 1/2 - 1 seeded jalapeños
Spinach/artichoke - add a hand full of spinach and 1/3 can of artichokes🌱
