ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS keep certain staples in your pantry/freezer/fridge. Especially if you know you can’t make it to the store and you’re like WTF am I making for dinner? I’m not really saying anything new but these particular items, I just always have in the house👌🏻
.
This dish is really easy to make and it’s only 5 ingredients minus spices. Honestly it probably takes maybe 20 minutes to make. My 16 year old can make this and that’s saying a lot!
Ingredients:
3/4 box of pasta - I always have some sort of noodle in the cabinet. Here I used a mix as you can see because I had a little in each box. It’s ok no one is judging me right? I used @eatbanza shells and then a couple more random ones😬
1 can diced tomatoes - I usually have these in spicy, Italian, no salt whatever. Or you can use real ones- it’s fine.
1/2 medium onion. Look if you don’t have onions I can’t help you.
1/2 - 1 cup shredded cheese depending on how cheesy you want it. I used @followyourheart Mozzarella but I also had a tiny bit of @violife_foods Cheddar so I used that up too!
Bag of beef crumbles I always have @gardein or @bocaburger In the freezer. They’re so versatile.
Spices: salt/pepper/oregano/garlic
Recipe:
Cook your pasta according to directions. While that’s happening, chop and sauté the onion in a large skillet. Add garlic/ oregano/salt and pepper. Then add crumbles and cook until they’re done. Then, add tomatoes and cook through. Taste along the way to see if you need to add more spices. Next, add cheese and let it melt. Then add pasta, stir until everything is mixed and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Serve with nooch on top or just add a little more cheese. It’s done. FOR REAL🌱
.
TIP: Make sure you have leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch. .
